As anti-government protests pop up in Iran this week, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attacked Barack Obama on Friday, saying the American president “doesn’t even know how to spell his own name properly” and “can’t even control his own emotions.”

But despite that support, the Iranian government is still taking a strong stance against the protesters, again calling for the execution of those who dare to oppose the regime.
